J B Kind - years of experience in timber and doors
J. B. Kind was founded by Mr John Blower Kind in 1870 and after his death in 1905, became incorporated as a Limited Company in 1906.
We have a proud history from those early days as timber merchants and more importantly as wooden beer crate manufacturers for the then burgeoning bottled beer industry. During two world wars, we contributed greatly in the manufacture of ammunition boxes and other military requirements.
Shortly after the end of the Second World War, plastic brought about the demise of the beer crate. Fortunately, the advent of forklift trucks created a demand for timber pallets and J. B. Kind was well placed to meet this need.
Leading Door Suppliers
During the 1980's the company diversified into the door distribution business and the rest, as they say, is history!
