Fire Doors
Superior Fire Door Design
Fire doors don't have to look "functional". Many of our doors are offered with complementary internal fire door (FD30) options. Our fire doors are tested in accordance with either BS 476 pt22 or EN1634-1:2000 by accredited test houses. In addition, fire doors are also covered by either "Global Assessments" or CERTIFIRE data sheets extrapolated from the test evidence.
J B kind FD30 fire doors fully comply with Part B of the Building Regulations when fitted in accordance with their certification. Please remember that it is the complete door set assembly when fitted that must comply with the standard.
Internal Fire Doors
Internal fire doors must always be fitted to incorporate the correct intumescents or smokeseals as well as incorporating appropriate ironmongery, frame section, glazing and even timber type. Each fire door ‘system’ has individual requirements and J B Kind can offer advice where required.
To further support the integrity of various ranges we have achieved Product Conformity Status through the BWF CERTIFIRE scheme.

Fire Door Certification
J.B. Kind has achieved 'CERTIFIRE' status for various fire door designs in our ranges.
Our 'CERTIFIRE' certification validates these products suitable for use as fire doors and provides the means to independently authenticate the quality and performance of the 'CERTIFIRE' certificated doors.
The 'CERTIFIRE' system involves rigorous type testing, audit testing and factory production control combined with current fire test evidence and ISO9000 Quality Assured production, ensuring that the fire doors supplied will provide the same level of performance as those tested. The scheme is gaining growing acceptance by the enforcement authorities - Building Control, the Fire Brigades and Trading Standards.
Critical to the identification of these fire doors is the permanent tamper-evident label affixed to every door. This label gives details of the door's fire rating, certification number, details of the manufacturer or supplier and a unique number for each individual door.
All this provides specifiers, regulators and purchasers with the certainty that the fire doors will fulfil the standards expected of them.
